The Things We Find in Books @ the Library!

Are you guilty? I am sure we all are at some time in our life. 

What is she talking about, you ask?  

You are deeply engrossed in a wonderful book, and life interrupts quite rudely. You look around for a bookmark, real or improvised, to mark your spot. 

And, when you have finished the book, you return it to the library. All but forgetting that bookmark, and leaving it buried inside the book somewhere. 

As a librarian for over a decade, I have discovered that just about anything can be used for a bookmark. Funny memes have been made about the weird things we have found inside of books. Librarians have been known to compare notes on the strangest things we have found. 

Even though I don't have visual proof of it, I once found a coupon for a free pizza inside a "no-carb" type diet book. Not extremely funny, but it did make me chuckle! I still wondered if the diet worked or not! LOL

Our library has been blessed with many book donations this summer, and we've recently been trying to make our way through all of them.
